H.R. No. 1418
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Laura Cadena was elected as the District 6
representative on the Dallas City Council on May 3, 2025; and
WHEREAS, In carrying out the responsibilities of her office,
Ms. Cadena will be joining with the other members of the city
council to address urgent issues facing the community, and her work
will have a lasting influence on the daily lives of her fellow
citizens; and
WHEREAS, The effective operation of municipal government
depends on the able and dedicated efforts of our public servants,
and Laura Cadena will draw on her insight and experience as she
takes on this challenging new role; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Laura Cadena on her election to the
Dallas City Council and extend to her sincere best wishes for a
successful term in office; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Cadena as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
