H.R. No. 1424

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Randall Treviño Jr. has distinguished himself in his

responsibilities as a constituent services advisor in the office of

State Representative Ryan Guillen during the 89th Legislative

Session; and

WHEREAS, Since joining the staff as part of The University of

Texas Rio Grande Valley Legislative Internship Program, Mr. Treviño

has provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of

challenging tasks, including communicating with constituents,

lobbyists, and other staff, tracking bills, scheduling, conducting

legislative research, and attending committee hearings; in

addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public

service, he has learned more about the legislative process and the

issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and

WHEREAS, The son of Randall and Angela Treviño, Mr. Treviño

graduated from Homer Hanna Early College High School in Brownsville

and is currently working toward a bachelor's degree in political

science at UTRGV; there, he has served as a VA work-study assistant

at the Military and Veterans Success Center and has been named to

the dean's list; he has a keen interest in personal injury and

public interest law and plans to pursue a juris doctor degree; and

WHEREAS, Randall Treviño has performed his duties as a

constituent services advisor with skill and dedication, and he is

indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now,

therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas

Legislature hereby commend Randall Treviño Jr. for his service as a

constituent services advisor in the office of State Representative

Ryan Guillen and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued

success in all his endeavors; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

prepared for Mr. Treviño as an expression of high regard by the

Texas House of Representatives.
