H.R. No. 1449
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Garrett Strittmatter has distinguished himself in
his responsibilities as a policy analyst in the office of State
Representative Joanne Shofner during the 89th Legislative Session;
and
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Strittmatter has
provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging
tasks, including helping with Representative Shofner's higher
education policy portfolio; in addition to gaining valuable
experience in the field of public service, he has learned more about
the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone
Star State; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Strittmatter is a graduate of Southwest
Christian School in Fort Worth; he earned his bachelor's degree in
political science from Samford University in Alabama, where he
previously worked in the office of U.S. Senator Katie Britt and as a
legislative intern for U.S. Representative Gary Palmer; and
WHEREAS, Garrett Strittmatter has performed his duties as a
policy analyst with skill and dedication, and he is indeed
deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Garrett Strittmatter for his service as
a policy analyst in the office of State Representative Joanne
Shofner and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success
in all his endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Strittmatter as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
