H.R. No. 1487

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Kendall Meachum has distinguished herself in her

responsibilities as a legislative aide in the office of State

Representative Rafael Anchía during the 89th Legislative Session;

and

WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Meachum has provided

vital support in all policy areas, and she has handled a wide

variety of challenging tasks; in addition to gaining valuable

experience in the field of public service, she has learned more

about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the

Lone Star State; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Meachum is a student at The University of Texas

at Austin, where she is pursuing a bachelor's degree in government

and Plan II Honors; active in her campus community, she is a member

of Model United Nations and the Texas Pre-Law Honor Society and

serves as advocacy committee director for Hook the Vote; she also

writes stories for
The Daily Texan
as a news reporter; and

WHEREAS, Kendall Meachum has performed her duties as a

legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed

deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,

be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas

Legislature hereby commend Kendall Meachum for her service as a

legislative aide in the office of State Representative Rafael

Anchía and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success

in all her endeavors; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

prepared for Ms. Meachum as an expression of high regard by the

Texas House of Representatives.
