H.R. No. 1497

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, MeLissa Nemecek is concluding her tenure with the

Texas House of Representatives in 2025 after three decades of

exemplary service to the people of the Lone Star State; and

WHEREAS, Over the course of her many years with the Texas

Legislature, "Mo" Nemecek has held a variety of roles, including

chief of staff, capitol director, and office administrator, and she

has served in the offices of State Representatives Matt Morgan,

John Cyrier, and Lynn Stucky, among others; and

WHEREAS, Known for her integrity and professionalism,

Ms. Nemecek has earned a reputation as a trusted advisor, a skilled

organizer, and a mentor to staff and interns alike; her deep

institutional knowledge, grace under pressure, and affection and

respect for her colleagues have contributed immensely to the

important work of the Capitol staff; and

WHEREAS, MeLissa Nemecek's retirement marks the close of an

extraordinary career in public service, and she may take

well-deserved pride in her outstanding record of achievement; now,

therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas

Legislature hereby commend MeLissa Nemecek for her 30 years of

service to the Texas House of Representatives and extend to her

sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it

further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

prepared for Ms. Nemecek as an expression of high regard by the

Texas House of Representatives.
