H.R. No. 1516
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Town of Fairview has greatly benefited from the
leadership of Henry Lessner, who concluded his tenure as mayor in
May 2025; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Lessner was first elected mayor of Fairview in
2019, and he has served in the position throughout two of his three
terms on the Fairview Town Council; and
WHEREAS, Devoted to his community, Mayor Lessner has
previously served as president of the Allen Fairview Chamber of
Commerce, the Arts of Collin County Foundation, the Rotary Club of
Allen Sunrise, and All Community Outreach, and he is the founding
president of the Rotary Club of Fairview; he currently acts as an
advisor to the boards of the Allen Library Endowment Fund and the
Samaritan Inn endowment; moreover, he is a founding board member of
the Allen Philharmonic Orchestra & Symphony Chorus, and he gives
generously of his time to the garden club at Caldwell Elementary
School in McKinney; and
WHEREAS, In addition to his responsibilities as mayor,
Mr. Lessner enjoys a successful career as a wealth management
advisor at Meridian Wealth Management, LLC; he has previously
worked for MCI, known today as Verizon, as well as for Fortune
Financial Services, LLC, and he helped establish Wealth Management
Group, LLC; he holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
from Texas A&M University-Kingsville, and he is also a certified
financial planner and is licensed in securities and insurance; and
WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Lessner enjoys the love
and support of his wife, Nancy, as well as his two children and five
grandchildren; he is an active member of the First United Methodist
Church of Allen; and
WHEREAS, The dedication, leadership, and commitment to
excellence demonstrated by Henry Lessner have greatly benefited the
citizens of Fairview, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a job
well done; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
Legislature hereby commend the Honorable Henry Lessner for his
service as mayor of Fairview, and extend to him sincere best wishes
for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Lessner as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
