H.R. No. 1534

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, The tragic death of Terrin Allan Solbrig of New

Braunfels on October 4, 2020, at the age of 18, brought an

immeasurable loss to his family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Born in Fort Worth on February 12, 2002, Terrin

Solbrig was the son of Stewart and Tawny Solbrig; he grew up with

the companionship of an older brother, Jacob; from fifth through

eighth grade, he attended Cross Lutheran School, and he was a valued

member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and its youth group; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Solbrig was a member of the Class of 2020 at

Canyon High School in New Braunfels, where he played varsity

basketball and participated in FFA and Young Americans for Freedom;

after graduation, he began pursuing welding certification through

the Alamo Colleges District; and

WHEREAS, An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Solbrig belonged to the New

Braunfels Guardians Bass Club, and he enjoyed boating and riding

dirt bikes, four-wheelers, and Jet Skis; always living life to the

fullest, he brightened the days of innumerable people with his

ever-present smile, and he loved to be helpful to others; and

WHEREAS, While the life of Terrin Solbrig ended far too soon,

he remains a source of inspiration to all who were privileged to

share in his love and friendship, and he will forever hold a special

place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas

Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Terrin Allan Solbrig

and extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to his

parents, Stewart and Tawny Solbrig; to his brother, Jacob Solbrig;

to his grandparents, Donna and Carl Solbrig and Michael and

Patricia Ward; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it

further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of

Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Terrin

Solbrig.
