H.R. No. 237

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Annette Sánchez has been elected to the position of

Zone 8 director on the National Association of Elementary School

Principals Board of Directors; and

WHEREAS, For more than two decades, Ms. Sánchez has served as

a principal in the Beeville Independent School District; deeply

committed to advancing high-quality education for all students, she

has championed such policies as universal prekindergarten; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Sánchez is a past president of the Texas

Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association, which

recognized her in 2015 as Region 2 TEPSAN of the Year; in addition,

she lends her time and expertise as a member of various other

organizations, including the Junior Service League and the national

task force for the Women in Education Leading and Learning Summit;

and

WHEREAS, Through her dedication, professionalism, and

commitment to excellence, Annette Sánchez has benefited many

students and educators over the years, and the experience she has

acquired along the way will serve her well as she takes on this

challenging new role; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas

Legislature hereby congratulate Annette Sánchez on being elected to

the position of Zone 8 director on the National Association of

Elementary School Principals Board of Directors and extend to her

sincere best wishes for a successful and productive tenure; and, be

it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

prepared for Ms. Sánchez as an expression of high regard by the

Texas House of Representatives.
