H.R. No. 407

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, The Aledo Independent School District has been

selected as a CTE District of Distinction by the Career and

Technical Association of Texas; and

WHEREAS, Aledo ISD was one of only 38 school districts in

Texas to receive this esteemed recognition, which honors career and

technical education programs that demonstrate exemplary

leadership, innovation, and commitment to student success; the CTE

District of Distinction accolade also highlights programs that

excel in preparing students for the workforce and that are

dedicated to making a positive difference in the community; and

WHEREAS, The CTE department at Aledo ISD offers 10 different

career clusters where students can earn more than 40 industry-based

certifications; in 2023-2024, Aledo High School students earned 492

certifications; among the CTE programs of study are arts, audio

visual technology and communication, architecture and

construction, agriculture, food and natural resources, business,

marketing and finance, health science, and law and public service;

and

WHEREAS, Through its exceptional efforts to engage and

motivate students, the Aledo CTE department has built an

outstanding record of achievement, and the district is indeed

deserving of this prestigious award; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas

Legislature hereby congratulate the Aledo Independent School

District on being named a CTE District of Distinction by the Career

and Technical Association of Texas and extend to all those

affiliated with the district's CTE department sincere best wishes

for continued success; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

prepared for the school district as an expression of high regard by

the Texas House of Representatives.
