H.R. No. 750
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Taylor Desabris has been named the 2025 Teacher of
the Year at Bryker Woods Elementary School in the Austin
Independent School District; and
WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to
become successful and productive adults, and those men and women
who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference
in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and
WHEREAS, The Campus Teacher of the Year award recognizes
full-time educators or interventionists who have taught in Austin
ISD for at least three years and have demonstrated an unwavering
commitment to inspiring a love of learning, building collaborative
relationships, and creating learning experiences that lead to high
expectations and positive outcomes; honorees are first nominated
for consideration by their fellow faculty members, and campus
winners become eligible for the district title; and
WHEREAS, Taylor Desabris exemplifies the passion,
determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our
best teachers, and she has set a standard of excellence to which all
in her profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Taylor Desabris on her selection as
the 2025 Teacher of the Year at Bryker Woods Elementary School and
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success with her
important work; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mrs. Desabris as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
