H.R. No. 805

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Family and friends suffered an immeasurable loss

with the tragic passing of Erma Adeyemo of Arlington on March 31,

2025, at the age of 63; and

WHEREAS, Affectionately known as "Mama Erma" to her loved

ones and community, Ms. Adeyemo served as a special education

teacher in the Arlington Independent School District for more than

two decades, and during the summers, she helped with the district's

food program; following her retirement, she worked with cancer

patients undergoing therapy at Texas Oncology; and

WHEREAS, A woman of deep faith, Ms. Adeyemo was an active

member of Word of Peace International Ministry Church in Grand

Prairie, where she sang in the choir and participated in the altar

ministry and other groups; she also led the church's hospitality

team and food pantry; in addition, she volunteered with Special

Olympics; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Adeyemo was the proud mother of three daughters,

and she had the pleasure of seeing her treasured family grow to

include nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and

WHEREAS, Possessed of a warm and generous nature and a joyous

zest for life, Erma Adeyemo brightened the world for all who knew

her, and they will forever hold her close in their hearts; now,

therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas

Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Erma Adeyemo and

extend sincere condolences to her relatives and many friends; and,

be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of

Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Erma

Adeyemo.
