R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, National PEO Week is taking place from May 18

through 24, 2025, offering a fitting opportunity to recognize

professional employer organizations for their contributions to

businesses across the United States; and

WHEREAS, The more than 500 professional employer

organizations (PEOs) in the U.S. provide payroll and human

resources services to hundreds of thousands of small and mid-sized

businesses that, in total, employ over 4 million people; and

WHEREAS, PEOs help companies improve productivity and

profitability, expand their reach, and achieve their goals;

according to the National Association of Professional Employer

Organizations, businesses working with a PEO grow two times faster,

have an employee turnover rate that is 12 percent lower, and have a

higher survival rate; and

WHEREAS, Additionally, by partnering with a PEO, businesses

are able to offer their employees retirement plans, health, dental,

and life insurance, dependent care, and other important benefits;

and

WHEREAS, Professional employer organizations are a vital

asset to the businesses they serve, and it is a pleasure to join in

honoring these groups for their outstanding work; now, therefore,

be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas

Legislature hereby recognize May 18 through 24, 2025, as National

PEO Week and extend to all those involved in the professional

employer organization industry sincere best wishes for the future.
