H.R. No. 896

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the

passing of Minh Cong Tu of Pflugerville on April 15, 2025, at the

age of 95; and

WHEREAS, Minh Cong Tu was born on March 21, 1930, in Saigon,

Vietnam; in 1975, during the Vietnam War, he immigrated to the

United States with his wife, Anh, and he worked tirelessly in

pursuit of the American dream; he established a career in computer

programming and excelled in his job responsibilities until

retiring; and

WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Minh Cong Tu enjoyed the love

and support of Anh, who preceded him in death; he was a devoted

father to his three daughters, Anh-Thao, Anh-Hue, and Anh-Tam, and

over the years, he had the pleasure of seeing his family grow to

include two grandchildren, Anh-Alisse and Trey Selissen; and

WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known Minh Cong Tu

will remember the way he touched their lives with his warmth, his

determination, and his adventurous spirt, and he will forever hold

a treasured place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas

Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Minh Cong Tu and

extend heartfelt sympathy to his family and many friends; and, be it

further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of

Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Minh Cong

Tu.
