H.R. No. 992

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Caroline Brown has ably served her fellow Texans as

a legislative intern in the office of State Representative Terri

Leo Wilson during the 89th Legislative Session; and

WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Brown has provided

vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;

in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public

service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the

issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Brown is currently studying neuroscience at The

University of Texas at Austin, where she has earned placement on the

dean's list and participated in the Jefferson Scholars program;

prior to moving to Texas, she attended The Ambrose School in Idaho

and graduated as her class's salutatorian; she has also excelled in

national mock trial competitions, served as a science professor

research apprentice, and participated in varsity volleyball and

golf; she has further distinguished herself through her involvement

in organizing community service projects for a number of

nonprofits; and

WHEREAS, Caroline Brown has performed her duties as a

legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed

deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,

be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas

Legislature hereby congratulate Caroline Brown for her service as a

legislative intern in the office of State Representative Terri Leo

Wilson and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success

in all her endeavors; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be

prepared for Ms. Brown as an expression of high regard by the Texas

House of Representatives.
