SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 411

In Memory

of

Guadalupe Arismendez Jr.

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and

commemorates the life of Guadalupe Arismendez Jr., who died March

13, 2025, at the age of 50; and

WHEREAS, A native of Corpus Christi, Lupe Arismendez Jr.

was born to Amelia Arismendez and the late Guadalupe Arismendez

Sr. on May 7, 1974; he was a loving sibling to his brothers and

sisters, with whom he shared many happy memories, and he

graduated from Sterling High School in 1994; and

WHEREAS, Lupe shared 24 rewarding years of marriage with

his best friend and cherished wife, Monica Arismendez, and their

union was blessed with a son, Matthew; they were again blessed in

2023, when their family grew with the adoption of their two

youngest sons, Jonah and Frank; and

WHEREAS, Lupe most recently worked providing security as a

member of the staff of Sec-Ops, Incorporated; he found much

enjoyment in listening to music, playing his guitar, and

storytelling, and he was noted among friends for his great

appreciation of Mexican food; above all, he valued being with

family and cherished their time spent together; and

WHEREAS, A man of compassion, strength, and unwavering

devotion to family, Lupe Arismendez Jr. was beloved by many, and

he leaves behind memories that will be forever treasured by his

loved ones and by all who were privileged to share in his life;

now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th

Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved

family of Guadalupe Arismendez Jr.; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for

his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas

Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in

memory of Lupe Arismendez.
