SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 452

In Memory

of

Kurt Robert Lentz

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the

citizens of Georgetown in honoring the life of Kurt Robert Lentz,

a devoted public servant and beloved member of his community, who

died on April 11, 2025, at the age of 33; and

WHEREAS, Born on August 12, 1991, in Orange, California, to

Robert and Jill Lentz, Kurt distinguished himself as a man of

unwavering faith and immense compassion; he was a devoted

husband, father, son, brother, and friend, and he enriched the

lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him through his

warmth, his humility, and his generous spirit; and

WHEREAS, Kurt began a rewarding career as a first responder

in 2014; he served as a firefighter and paramedic with Bexar

County Emergency Service District 7 Fire Rescue in the San

Antonio area before joining the Georgetown Fire Department in

August of 2019; in 2020, he was assigned to Station 1, known as

the "Big House," where he became a trusted mentor and a respected

and admired colleague and leader; and

WHEREAS, Kurt was noted for his unwavering faith, his

infectious joy, and his deep compassion for others; his

steadfast commitment to service earned him the esteem of his

fellow first responders and the gratitude of countless

citizens whose lives were touched by him in their moments of

crisis; above all, he deeply cherished his family, and it was

clear to all who knew him that his beloved wife Rachael and his

son Ryan were his greatest pride and joy; and

WHEREAS, Kurt Lentz leaves behind a legacy of courage,

devotion, and selfless service, and he will be forever remembered

with admiration and gratitude by his loving family, by his many

friends and colleagues, and by all who were privileged to share

in his life; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th

Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved

family of Kurt Robert Lentz; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for

his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas

Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in

memory of Kurt Lentz.
