SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 458
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
join Texans across the state in recognizing May 9, 2025, as
Provider Appreciation Day; and
WHEREAS, Provider Appreciation Day is a nationally
celebrated annual event to advocate family child care as a
valuable investment in our children's future and as an
opportunity for quality early childhood education; and
WHEREAS, Professionals who provide family child care play
an important role in cultivating, supporting, and educating
young children in a warm, loving, and culturally competent
environment; and
WHEREAS, These dedicated providers fulfill a vital role by
ensuring the safety and well-being of children in various
settings including day-care facilities, schools, and homes to
allow working parents and families access to the level of care
needed to prepare their children for future success; and
WHEREAS, Texas child-care providers are working with the
National Association for Family Child Care and other
organizations statewide to enhance the quality and availability
of such services; and
WHEREAS, Provider Appreciation Day is truly a fitting
occasion to call attention to the importance of quality
child-care services for all children and families in our
communities and to recognize family child care providers,
teachers, and educators for their efforts in caring for the
children of working parents and providing them with quality early
childhood experiences; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th
Legislature, hereby commend the state's family child care
providers on their exemplary contributions to their communities
and extend to all best wishes for a rewarding and memorable
Provider Appreciation Day celebration; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in
honor of this special occasion.
