SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 496

WHEREAS, Members of Leadership Garland are visiting the

State Capitol on May 7, 2025, and this occasion provides a

fitting opportunity to recognize this notable group; and

WHEREAS, Sponsored by the Garland Chamber of Commerce,

Leadership Garland provides corporate leadership training and

aims to motivate and inspire civic leaders; over the course of

nine months, participants, who represent a broad spectrum of

backgrounds and interests, are given the tools to expand their

leadership roles and involvement within the community; moreover,

graduates of the program represent a robust alumni network of

industry leaders, elected officials, and public servants who

have access to continual learning and networking opportunities;

and

WHEREAS, By fostering a more informed and engaged

citizenry and developing innovators, Leadership Garland is

helping to build a brighter and more prosperous future for the

Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th

Legislature, hereby recognize May 7, 2025, as Leadership Garland

Day at the State Capitol and extend to all participants sincere

best wishes for continued success.
