SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 501

WHEREAS, Cindy Ramos-Davidson of El Paso has greatly

benefited her fellow citizens through her wide-ranging

contributions to her community; and

WHEREAS, Educated in the El Paso public school system,

Mrs. Ramos-Davidson graduated from Bel Air High School and

earned her degree from The University of Texas at El Paso; she

went on to establish a notable career as chamber executive, which

has been highlighted by her 27-year tenure as CEO of the El Paso

Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; under her direction, the

organization has fostered more than 20,000 startups, created or

retained over 30,000 jobs, and driven nearly $750 million in

economic impact across the region; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Ramos-Davidson's leadership skills have also

been demonstrated in other capacities; she has served as a member

of the El Paso branch board of directors of the Federal Reserve

Bank of Dallas, the Texas Military Support Task Force, and the

U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce President's Advisory Council;

her many accolades include the 2018 Joe M. Rodriguez Leadership

Award from the Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of

Commerce and a 2014 Woman of Impact Award from El Paso Inc., and

she was named the Chief Executive of the Year by the United States

Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; in all her endeavors, she enjoys

the love and support of her husband, Robert L. Davidson, and she

takes great pride in their daughter, Sarina Lora Davidson; and

WHEREAS, A true champion of the borderland, Cindy

Ramos-Davidson has distinguished herself through her commitment

to supporting underserved communities, empowering small

businesses, and mentoring the next generation of leaders, and her

achievements will continue to resonate in the El Paso area for

many years to come; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th

Legislature, hereby commend Cindy Ramos-Davidson for her

contributions to the city of El Paso and extend to her sincere

appreciation for her exemplary efforts; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be

prepared for Mrs. Ramos-Davidson as an expression of high regard

from the Texas Senate.
