SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 588

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to

recognize Judge Wayne Mack for 35 years of exemplary public

service to the people of Montgomery County; and

WHEREAS, This treasured civic leader distinguished himself

for his diligence and uncompromising work ethic as a staff member

of the Montgomery County Building Maintenance Department in the

1980s, and he advanced to become director of Building Custodial

Services in 1995; and

WHEREAS, He went on to revive the Conroe Police Department

Reserve Unit during his tenure as deputy reserve constable of

Montgomery County; he skillfully supervised the unit for ten

years, and he has also contributed to his local law enforcement

agency as an adjunct instructor at the Montgomery County

Sheriff's Academy; and

WHEREAS, Judge Mack was sworn in as justice of the peace of

Montgomery County Precinct 1 on May 1, 2014, and he has since

presided over the court with wisdom, integrity, and a strong

focus on helping troubled youth; his numerous administrative

accomplishments include expanding the court's office hours of

operation, updating court management software and technology,

and establishing a thriving chaplaincy program in cooperation

with area churches and law enforcement officers; and

WHEREAS, A tireless public servant, Judge Mack has served

on the boards of a dozen nonprofit and community organizations

and has received numerous honors for his generous professional,

charitable, and civic contributions; he is admired by residents

of Montgomery County for his honesty, his compassion, and his

fairness in the administration of law, and he is truly deserving

of recognition for his years of devoted service; now, therefore,

be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th

Legislature, hereby commend Judge Wayne Mack on his judicial

excellence and his 35 years of outstanding service to the

citizens of Montgomery County and extend to him best wishes for

the future; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for

him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
