SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 615

WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to

recognize Brenda Kaye Abbott on the grand occasion of her 80th

birthday; and

WHEREAS, Born in Houston on June 1, 1945, this gracious

lady has enjoyed a life of great reward rooted in her enduring

faith and her boundless love of family; and

WHEREAS, Brenda has shared 42 years of marriage with her

devoted husband, Jack; she raised her three daughters by loving

example and is a cherished friend to her stepsons, and her

grandchildren and great-grandchildren enrich her life

immeasurably; and

WHEREAS, Brenda worked as a well-respected real estate

broker for many years, and she continues to enjoy owning and

managing a business with her husband; her most integral calling

is ministry and prayer, and during her nearly four decades of

ministerial service, she has provided counsel to ministers and

dignitaries from around the world; and

WHEREAS, A loving and generous woman, Brenda is known for

her gentle honesty and for providing wise insight to family,

friends, and fellow Christians; she is a proud Texan and a

cherished member of her community, and her 80th birthday is

indeed cause for celebration among her many loved ones; now,

therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th

Legislature, hereby recognize Brenda Kaye Abbott as a treasured

citizen of the Lone Star State and extend to her congratulations

and best wishes on her 80th birthday; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for

her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
