SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 668

In Memory

of

Linda Current

WHEREAS, Countless lives were touched by the kindness and

generosity of Linda Annette Current of Yantis, who passed away on

May 3, 2025, at the age of 82; and

WHEREAS, Linda Current was born on July 31, 1942; she

graduated summa cum laude from Southwestern Oklahoma State

University, where she earned a degree in education; after working

as an early childhood educator, she embarked on a second career as a

master scheduler with 3M and then went on to own and operate several

small businesses; and

WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Mrs. Current enjoyed the love

and support of her husband of 41 years, Cliff Current; she was the

proud mother of two sons, Chris and Ron, and over the years, her

treasured family grew to include three grandchildren, Kaitlyn,

Courtney, and Kyle, and two great-grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Current found joy in the peaceful surroundings

of the Lake Fork area, and she especially delighted in hosting

family gatherings at the waterfront home where she and Mr. Current

resided; and

WHEREAS, Although Linda Current is deeply missed, memories

of her warmth, her sense of humor, and her devotion to her loved

ones remain to comfort and inspire those she leaves behind; now,

therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 89th

Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the life of Linda Annette

Current and extend sincere condolences to the members of her

family: to her husband, Cliff Current; to her sons, Chris Sturm and

his wife, Melissa, and Ron Sturm and his wife, Barbara; to her

grandchildren, Kaitlyn Johnson and her husband, Cody, Courtney

Miles and her husband, Dustin, and Kyle Sturm and his wife,

Elizabeth; to her great-grandchildren; and to her other relatives

and friends; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be

prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns

this day, it do so in memory of Linda Current.
