SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 670

the age of 82; and

WHEREAS, The daughter of LeRoy and Blanche Erwin, the former

Sandra Erwin was born in Lubbock on February 18, 1943, and she grew up

alongside her brother, Gene Erwin; she met her future husband, Garland

Davis, while they were students at Arlington Heights High School in

Fort Worth; their fulfilling relationship was made even richer with

the addition of a daughter, Stacy, and a son, Greg; Mrs. Davis always

put her family's needs before her own, encouraging her children's

musical talent and driving them to countless lessons, rehearsals, and

competitions, and she was a loyal De Kalb Band Booster; along the way,

she taught her offspring the importance of kindness and living with

purpose; and

family pharmacy; the devoted couple shared numerous outdoor

adventures and spent countless weekends on their sailboat with their

children; among her many talents, Mrs. Davis could repair anything,

and her ingenuity shone in arts, crafts, and home improvement

projects; she easily merged two dress patterns to create her

fearlessly knocked through a wall to add a framed kitchen doorway; in

later years, trembling hands did not prevent her from employing

advanced techniques in her painting; she set an inspiring example of

grace and resilience in navigating life's challenges; and

WHEREAS, Although Sandra Davis is greatly missed, she has left

her family and friends with many cherished memories, and she will

forever hold a special place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
