LONG TITLE
General Description:
This rules resolution modifies the duties of a Senate standing committee.

Be it resolved by the Senate of the state of Utah:
Section 1.
SR3-2-402
is amended to read:
SR3-2-402
. Standing committee consideration of legislation -- Regulated
occupation -- Fiscal impact.
(1)
As used in this rule:
(a)
"Office" means the Office of Professional Licensure Review created in Utah Code
Title 13, Chapter 1b, Office of Professional Licensure Review.
(b)
"Regulated occupation" means the same as that term is defined in Utah Code Section
13-1b-101
.
(2)
When considering legislation that proposes to make an occupation a regulated
occupation, a standing committee shall determine whether the office conducted a sunrise
review of the occupation in accordance with Utah Code Title 13, Chapter 1b, Part 3,
Office Review and Reporting.
(3)
Except as provided in
SR3-2-401
, a standing committee in one or both chambers
shall
review
consider
legislation before the legislation is held in the opposite chamber
because of the legislation's fiscal impact.
Section 2.
Effective Date.
This resolution takes effect upon a successful vote for final passage.
