WHEREAS, in 2025, the Rotary Club of Orange launched the Age Better Orange educational series to support healthy aging in the community by raising awareness of dementia, promoting safety, and connecting seniors with helpful resources and support services; and
WHEREAS, through Age Better Orange, the Rotary Club of Orange offers practical information and clear pathways to support in a welcoming environment; the bi-monthly sessions are free to attend and feature engaging speakers and presenters discussing a variety of topics; and
WHEREAS, the Rotary Club of Orange developed Age Better Orange in partnership with LOWLINC, which empowers older adults to live fully and independently in their homes through member services, health and wellness programs, social connection, and TRIAD, a community policing program that helps prevent seniors from becoming victims of crime; and
WHEREAS, the Age Better Orange program is emblematic of Rotary International's mission to place “Service Above Self” and reflects the Rotary Club of Orange's understanding of the community's needs and dedication to addressing them with innovative, effective solutions; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend the Rotary Club of Orange for its work to enhance the lives of senior members of the Orange community through the Age Better Orange program; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Rotary Club of Orange as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for the organization's commitment to helping older adults age with dignity and stay engaged in community life.
