WHEREAS, for 25 years, the Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce has served as a leading advocate for the business community and a catalyst for economic growth in the Danville and Pittsylvania County region; and
WHEREAS, the Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce was formed in 2001 through the merger of the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce; since that time, the unified organization has grown to serve more than 600 member organizations and 23,000 member employees in the region, acting as a key advocate for regional economic development, collaboration, and business growth; and
WHEREAS, representing hundreds of member organizations and thousands of employees, the Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce works to strengthen the regional economy by supporting businesses of all sizes, with a strong emphasis on small-business success; 65 percent of the organization's members have fewer than five employees; and
WHEREAS, through its programming, events, and partnerships, the Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce provides valuable opportunities for professional development, networking, leadership cultivation, and business engagement; signature events, educational programs, and industry roundtables bring together business leaders, elected officials, and community partners to address key issues and opportunities impacting the region; and
WHEREAS, the Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce

also serves as a strong voice for businesses through its public policy and advocacy efforts, working to ensure that the interests of the local business community are represented at the local, state, and federal levels; and
WHEREAS, through collaboration with economic development organizations, workforce partners, and educational institutions, the Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce

helps advance initiatives that support job creation, workforce development, and long-term regional prosperity; and
WHEREAS, as it celebrates its 25th anniversary, the Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce continues to build on a legacy of leadership, collaboration, and service to the business community, helping position the region for continued growth and opportunity in the years ahead; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend the Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce on the occasion of its 25th anniversary; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for the organization's ongoing work to support local businesses and promote growth in the community.
