WHEREAS, for 35 years, Child Health Partnership has provided services and resources to support children and families in need in Charlottesville and Albemarle, Fluvanna, and Louisa Counties; and
WHEREAS, Child Health Partnership began its community nursing services through the Thomas Jefferson Health District in the Department of Health in 1991 and became an independent nonprofit organization known as the Jefferson Area Children's Health Improvement Program in 2008; the organization was then renamed Child Health Partnership in 2019; and
WHEREAS, since its founding, Child Health Partnership has served more than 5,750 children, including 600 refugee children; supported more than 3,600 families, including more than 700 pregnant women; and provided more than 80,000 home visits and 12,000 developmental screenings; and
WHEREAS, with decades of experience, the staff of Child Health Partnership are prepared to respond to a variety of crises and complex situations when assisting the families they serve; and
WHEREAS, the accomplishments of Child Health Partnership are the result of the visionary leadership of its board, the hard work and dedication of its staff, and the unwavering support of its local partners and the entire Greater Charlottesville community; and
WHEREAS, with an unwavering commitment to the children and families it serves, the Child Health Partnership has made a profound and lasting impact on countless lives; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Child Health Partnership on the occasion of its 35th anniversary; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Child Health Partnership as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for its contributions to the Commonwealth.
