WHEREAS, Brian Robert Bilheimer, an honorable veteran, esteemed member of the Virginia Association of Volunteer Rescue Squads, and a beloved member of the Beaverdam community, died on May 16, 2025; and
WHEREAS, a native of Pasadena, California, Brian Bilheimer graduated from John Muir High School in 1992; and
WHEREAS, Brian Bilheimer joined the United States Marine Corps as a reservist in 1994 and four years later joined the United States Army, which he dutifully served for 20 years; and
WHEREAS, as a result of his hard work and leadership, Brian Bilheimer earned his Ranger tab in May 1999 and went on to serve with the United States Army Special Forces, commonly known as Green Berets, until his retirement from the military in 2017; and
WHEREAS, in recent years, Brian Bilheimer served as a training coordinator for the Virginia Association of Volunteer Rescue Squads, where his dedication to his work positively impacted members, instructors, and emergency agencies in the Commonwealth; and
WHEREAS, Brian Bilheimer will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by his loving wife, Lisa, and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby note with great sadness the loss of Brian Robert Bilheimer, a distinguished veteran whose unwavering commitment to family, community, and country inspired all who knew him; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Brian Robert Bilheimer as an expression of the General Assembly's respect for his memory.
