WHEREAS, John Sharp, an esteemed public servant and longtime member of the Bedford County Board of Supervisors, has greatly served the citizens of Bedford County for more than 20 years; and
WHEREAS, John Sharp has proudly represented District 4 on the Bedford County Board of Supervisors since 2006, making him the longest serving member of the board; and
WHEREAS, John Sharp has led the Bedford County Board of Supervisors on multiple occasions as chair and has been a valued voice on the board, guiding the growth and development of Bedford County and ensuring the well-being of the county's residents; and
WHEREAS, John Sharp is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a degree in electrical and electronics engineering, and he has dedicated more than 30 years of his career to TRAX International Corporation, a leading provider of professional technical services to the United States Government; and
WHEREAS, with great integrity and commitment to the community he serves, John Sharp has helped to make Bedford County a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That John Sharp hereby be commended for his years of service on behalf of the citizens of Bedford County; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to John Sharp as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for his contributions to Bedford County and the Commonwealth.
