Commending United Faith Christian Ministry.
Agreed to by the House of Delegates, February 23, 2026
WHEREAS, for 25 years, United Faith Christian Ministry has provided opportunities for joyful worship and spiritual growth to its congregation while offering generous outreach to all members of the Stafford County community; and
WHEREAS, United Faith Christian Ministry was founded in February 2001 by Bishop Dr. Leonard B. Lacey, who had previously served the Commonwealth as a member of the Virginia State Police, an experience that shaped his character and commitment to service; and
WHEREAS, under Bishop Lacey's leadership, United Faith Christian Ministry has helped members of the community cultivate a more personal relationship with God and developed mission programs that have touched countless lives; and
WHEREAS, United Faith Christian Ministry has grown to become a place where healing takes place, lives are changed, families are reconciled, and men and women of all ages are strengthened and revived; and
WHEREAS, United Faith Christian Ministry promotes community policing through Bishop Lacey's role as a chaplain with the Stafford County Sheriff's Office and other law-enforcement agencies; and
WHEREAS, United Faith Christian Ministry has inspired many individuals to answer the call to the ministry and founded the Unity Institute to create opportunities to study the Gospel and grow in faith; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That United Faith Christian Ministry hereby be commended on the occasion of its 25th anniversary of service to the residents of Stafford County; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Bishop Dr. Leonard B. Lacey, pastor and founder of United Faith Christian Ministry, as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the church's legacy of contributions to the Stafford County community.
