Commending the Civic Association of Brentsville and Surrounding Areas.
Agreed to by the House of Delegates, February 23, 2026
WHEREAS, the Civic Association of Brentsville and Surrounding Areas is an organization that was formed in 2025 to represent the interests of the residents of the Greater Brentsville area in Prince William County; and
WHEREAS, the Civic Association of Brentsville and Surrounding Areas (CABSA) was founded by Vida Carroll, Angela Klein, and Jenny Osborn, who wanted to spearhead a community advocacy group that could address the exponential growth that has shaped the Greater Brentsville region in recent years; and
WHEREAS, CABSA's mission is to promote smart growth principles, advocate for Brentsville residents' best interests, and provide a unified voice for citizens on issues impacting the community; and
WHEREAS, CABSA and its members work tirelessly to ensure that developments and construction projects affecting the Greater Brentsville area move forward with transparency and public input; and
WHEREAS, CABSA tracks local development projects to keep its members and area residents informed and maintains a running list of events so that individuals are aware of ways in which they can contribute to the public discourse surrounding such projects; and
WHEREAS, with a deep commitment to the well-being of the community it serves, CABSA has proven to be a vital resource for the residents and businesses of the Greater Brentsville area; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the Civic Association of Brentsville and Surrounding Areas hereby be commended for its legacy of service; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Vida Carroll, president of the Civic Association of Brentsville and Surrounding Areas, as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the organization's mission and best wishes for its future success.
