Commending Shant'a Miller White.
Agreed to by the House of Delegates, March 2, 2026
WHEREAS, Shant'a Miller White, a trailblazing community leader, entrepreneur, and youth advocate, has touched countless lives through her work to raise awareness of the dangers of bullying and provide resources and support for young people in need; and
WHEREAS, after her family experienced firsthand the traumatic effects of a bullying incident, Shant'a Miller White founded the nonprofit organization Parents Against Bullying to help young people and their families address the physical and psychological consequences of bullying; and
WHEREAS, through Parents Against Bullying, Shant'a Miller White developed initiatives that have helped protect children, families, and communities from the stress and trauma of bullying by fostering communication skills, empathy, and courage in young people; and
WHEREAS, under Shant'a Miller White's leadership, Parents Against Bullying organizes annual events, monthly workshops, weekly mentoring sessions, summer camps, and school visits; the organization also helps community centers and other groups develop and provide strategies to deal with bullying head-on; and
WHEREAS, Shant'a Miller White also offers her insights and expertise to others as the chief executive officer of P.U.S.H. Professional Consulting; and
WHEREAS, Shant'a Miller White has earned recognition from state and national officials for her exceptional accomplishments on behalf of young people and has received a range of awards and accolades from media outlets and civic organizations; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Shant'a Miller White hereby be commended for her work as founding executive director of Parents Against Bullying; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Shant'a Miller White as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for her achievements in promoting healing, restoration, elevation, and growth among young people.
