WHEREAS, in January 2026, the senior living community Aviva Pembroke celebrated its first anniversary of helping older adults stay active and engaged in local life in Virginia Beach; and
WHEREAS, located at 373 Constitution Drive, Aviva Pembroke opened in 2025 and was praised as “the beginning of the reimagining of the entire Pembroke Square area” by the chair of the board of Pembroke Square Associates; and
WHEREAS, Aviva Pembroke is owned and operated by Beth Sholom Village, which since 1980 has served as a model for compassionate, dignified senior health care; and
WHEREAS, Aviva Pembroke offers 153 residences, including 121 independent-living apartments, 20 assisted-living suites, and 12 memory-support units, providing a full continuum of care on one campus; and
WHEREAS, just steps away from Town Center of Virginia Beach, Aviva Pembroke offers residents convenient access to shopping, dining, and community events, combined with the comfort of knowing care is always close by; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Aviva Pembroke hereby be commended on the occasion of its one-year anniversary of service; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Aviva Pembroke for its contributions to helping older adults age with dignity in Virginia Beach.
