Commending the Mount Vernon Springfield Chamber of Commerce Nonprofit Organization of the Year honorees.

WHEREAS, in February 2026, Brain Injury Services, Good Shepherd Housing and Family Services, the Association of the United States Army Potomac-Liberty Chapter, and the Rotary Club of West Springfield were selected as the Mount Vernon Springfield Chamber of Commerce Nonprofit Organization of the Year honorees; and
WHEREAS, the Mount Vernon Springfield Chamber of Commerce Nonprofit Organization of the Year honorees received this prestigious honor at THE BEST Business Awards Celebration, which recognizes organizations that are committed to making a difference in the community; and
WHEREAS, Brain Injury Services has built a compassionate and supportive community that empowers survivors of concussions, acquired brain injuries, or traumatic brain injuries by creating recovery plans and offering personalized service to help patients and their families rebuild their lives; and
WHEREAS, for more than 50 years, Good Shepherd Housing and Family Services has offered critical assistance to families in danger of losing their homes; the organization has provided pathways to self-sufficiency for generations of families through its comprehensive financial and support programs, ultimately creating stronger, more stable communities; and
WHEREAS, the Association of the United States Army Potomac-Liberty Chapter is part of a global professional organization that provides a unified voice for all members of the United States Army, including the Army Reserve and the Army National Guard; the organization provides educational programs, resources, and events, advocates for issues affecting soldiers at local, state, and national levels, and builds strong partnerships with other like-minded organizations around the world; and
WHEREAS, the Rotary Club of West Springfield established the Rotary Club of West Springfield Foundation to carry out charitable, educational, and scientific work in the local community and around the world; supported by annual club sponsors, donations, and contributions from fundraising activities, the foundation supports a local scholarship program and numerous other projects and organizations; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Brain Injury Services, Good Shepherd Housing and Family Services, the Association of the United States Army Potomac-Liberty Chapter, and the Rotary Club of West Springfield hereby be commended on the occasion of their selection as the 2026 Nonprofit Organization of the Year honorees by the Mount Vernon Springfield Chamber of Commerce; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare copies of this resolution for presentation to the Mount Vernon Springfield Chamber of Commerce Nonprofit Organization of the Year honorees as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for their exceptional contributions to people in need throughout Northern Virginia.
