WHEREAS, Ronald Morford, MD, an interventional cardiologist affiliated with the Centra Medical Group, has touched the lives of countless individuals in the Central Virginia Region through his commitment to innovation and patient-focused care; and
WHEREAS, Ronald Morford earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University in 1997, then completed an internship and residency at the prestigious Mayo Clinic, before returning to Ohio State for a fellowship; and
WHEREAS, Ronald Morford ultimately settled in the Commonwealth and currently practices with the Centra Medical Group Heart & Vascular Institute at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital in Lynchburg and Centra Southside Community Hospital in Farmville; and
WHEREAS, as an interventional cardiologist, Ronald Morford uses specialized imaging and other diagnostic techniques to evaluate blood flow and pressure in the coronary arteries and chambers of the heart and uses technical procedures and medications to treat abnormalities that impair the function of the cardiovascular system; and
WHEREAS, by focusing on cardiovascular disease, a prevalent, but treatable condition, Ronald Morford has significantly improved overall community health in and around Lynchburg; he has built strong relationships with patients through his professionalism, clear communication, and bedside manner; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Ronald G. Morford, MD, hereby be commended for his contributions to health care and service to numerous patients throughout the Central Virginia Region; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Ronald G. Morford, MD, as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for his professional achievements and expertise in cardiovascular health.
