WHEREAS, Master Sergeant Grace Salcedo, VA ANG, was selected as the Outstanding Senior Noncommissioned Officer of the Year by the Virginia Air National Guard in February 2024; and
WHEREAS, the Virginia Air National Guard provides reserve elements to the United States Air Force and serves as the aerial component of the Virginia National Guard, protecting the skies over the Commonwealth through the outstanding contributions of members like Grace Salcedo; and
WHEREAS, at the time of the award, Grace Salcedo was serving as a security forces squad leader for the 192nd Security Forces Squadron, 192nd Mission Support Group, 192nd Wing at Joint Base Langley-Eustis; and
WHEREAS, Grace Salcedo maintained a wide range of knowledge in weapon systems, antiterrorism, law enforcement, air base ground defense, and combat arms to ensure base security; and
WHEREAS, Grace Salcedo received this prestigious honor at the Virginia Air National Guard's annual awards ceremony in February 2024; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Master Sergeant Grace Salcedo, VA ANG, hereby be commended on the occasion of her selection as the Outstanding Senior Noncommissioned Officer of the Year; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Master Sergeant Grace Salcedo, VA ANG, as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for her achievements in service to the Commonwealth.
