WHEREAS, Rondell Norfleet is the owner of Norfleet's Bar and Grill in Virginia Beach, a beloved local restaurant that has served the community for many years; and
WHEREAS, Rondell Norfleet patronized the former establishment at what is today Norfleet's Bar and Grill for more than 25 years and later pursued the purchase of the business after it closed during the COVID-19 pandemic; and
WHEREAS, in response to the business's closure and the notice of new management, Rondell Norfleet took the initiative to acquire and reopen the establishment, investing in the local economy during a period of economic uncertainty; and
WHEREAS, since Rondell Norfleet assumed ownership of the business, Norfleet's Bar and Grill has operated successfully for nearly five years, providing a gathering place for residents and supporting the vitality of Virginia Beach; and
WHEREAS, by placing his name on the business, Rondell Norfleet has established a family legacy grounded in entrepreneurship, responsibility, and community engagement; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Rondell Norfleet hereby be commended for his contributions to the Virginia Beach community; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Rondell Norfleet as an expression of the House of Delegates' appreciation for his service and best wishes for the continued success of Norfleet's Bar and Grill.
