WHEREAS, Master Sergeant Corey Hayes, VA ANG, was selected as the Outstanding First Sergeant of the Year by the Virginia Air National Guard in February 2025; and
WHEREAS, the Virginia Air National Guard provides reserve elements to the United States Air Force and serves as the aerial component of the Virginia National Guard, protecting the skies over the Commonwealth through the outstanding contributions of members like Corey Hayes; and
WHEREAS, Corey Hayes serves as the first sergeant of the 192nd Intelligence Squadron, 192nd Operations Group, 192nd Wing at Joint Base Langley-Eustis; and
WHEREAS, Corey Hayes serves as a senior enlisted leader for the 192nd Intelligence Squadron and as a front line ambassador to the unit commander for maintaining the health, morale, and welfare of everyone assigned to the squadron; and
WHEREAS, Corey Hayes received this prestigious honor at the Virginia Air National Guard's annual awards ceremony in February 2025; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Master Sergeant Corey Hayes, VA ANG, hereby be commended on the occasion of his selection as Outstanding First Sergeant of the Year by the Virginia Air National Guard; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Master Sergeant Corey Hayes, VA ANG, as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for his achievements in service to the Commonwealth.
