WHEREAS, Broadwater Academy, a distinguished educational institution in Exmore that serves students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, was named the best independent kindergarten through 12th grade school in the Eastern Virginia region by
Virginia Living
magazine in 2025; and
WHEREAS, for more than a half-century, Broadwater Academy has fulfilled its mission by cultivating the next generation of respectful, civic-minded leaders and productive citizens; and
WHEREAS, Broadwater Academy's challenging and comprehensive curriculum and programs push students to achieve their best, preparing them for success both in and out of the classroom; and
WHEREAS, Broadwater Academy is led by talented and dedicated administrators and faculty members who work tirelessly to promote the academic, social, and emotional well-being of all students; and
WHEREAS, Broadwater Academy is greatly supported by the many families whose children attend the school, as well as the broader Eastern Shore community; and
WHEREAS, Broadwater Academy's accomplishment earned the school special recognitions through official correspondence from both Governor Glenn Youngkin and United States Representative Jennifer Kiggans; and
WHEREAS, through its commitment to educational excellence and the community, Broadwater Academy has made a profound and lasting impact on the Eastern Shore; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Broadwater Academy hereby be commended for being named the best independent kindergarten through 12th grade school in the Eastern Virginia region by
Virginia Living
magazine; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Broadwater Academy as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the school's contributions to education in the Commonwealth.
