WHEREAS, Network NOVA is a grassroots civic engagement organization that strives to educate and empower voters to engage with candidates and elected officials; and
WHEREAS, Network NOVA was founded in 2017 by Stair Calhoun, Katherine White, and Robbin Warner, who have created a diverse coalition of community organizations to pursue common goals of equality, justice, and human rights; and
WHEREAS, Network NOVA has amplified its members' voices to local and state governments and continues to build strong partnerships in Northern Virginia; and
WHEREAS, Network NOVA provides information on important issues and policies and hosts and organizes a wide range of volunteer events and activities, including its annual Women's Summit; and
WHEREAS, by fostering opportunities for political engagement and civic participation, Network NOVA has made a profound and lasting impact on the community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Network NOVA hereby be commended for its efforts to educate and empower voters; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Network NOVA as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the organization's contributions to the Commonwealth.
