Commending the Conservation Alliance of Braemar.
Agreed to by the House of Delegates, March 10, 2026
WHEREAS, the Conservation Alliance of Braemar is a grassroots advocacy organization devoted to the health, safety, and wellness of the Braemar community in Prince William County; and
WHEREAS, the Conservation Alliance of Braemar, also known as the Save Braemar Coalition, was formed by residents of the Braemar neighborhood concerned about a project that would erect transmission towers near residential homes, develop green spaces and wetlands, and eliminate local walking paths used by students to travel to and from school; and
WHEREAS, the members of the Conservation Alliance of Braemar developed relationships with local and state officials to raise awareness of long-term environmental concerns, safety issues, and possible health impacts; and
WHEREAS, the Conservation Alliance of Braemar also rallied residents of other neighborhoods in Bristow that would be affected by the development to create a unified voice for the community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the Conservation Alliance of Braemar hereby be commended for its ongoing work to advocate for the residents of Braemar and surrounding neighborhoods; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Conservation Alliance of Braemar as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the organization's commitment to community leadership.
