WHEREAS, the Fauquier High School Theatre Department won the Virginia High School League Class 3 state championship in December 2025 with its one-act play
The Price
, based on a story by Hans Christian Andersen; and
WHEREAS, the Fauquier High School Theatre Department won the regional and super-regional competitions before outperforming three other regional champions to claim the state championship title; and
WHEREAS, the Fauquier High School Theatre Department's triumph was a testament to the efforts of the production's 11 cast members and three crew members, including Kairi Esposito, who received a Best Actor award at the state competition; and
WHEREAS, the accomplishments of the Fauquier High School Theatre Department are the result of the hard work and dedication of student cast and crew members, the leadership and guidance of their director, April Poland, and the unwavering support of their families and the entire Fauquier High School community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the Fauquier High School Theatre Department hereby be commended for winning the 2025 Virginia High School League Class 3 state championship; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Fauquier High School Theatre Department as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the department's achievement and best wishes for its future success.
