WHEREAS, the Reverend Phillip E. Knight, Sr., an esteemed faith leader and pastor of Rock Hill Baptist Church in Mechanicsville, has provided uplifting spiritual counsel to his congregation and made an impact in the community through various endeavors; and
WHEREAS, Phillip Knight hails from Miami, Florida, and has served the congregation at Rock Hill Baptist Church for more than 25 years; and
WHEREAS, Phillip Knight humbly leads his congregation in its worship and prayer services and is devoted to making a difference in people's lives by sharing the teachings of the Bible and Christianity in any way he can; and
WHEREAS, in every aspect of his life, Phillip Knight exudes a servant's heart and is a source of inspiration, stability, and guidance to countless members of his congregation and the Mechanicsville community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the Reverend Phillip E. Knight, Sr., hereby be commended on the occasion of his retirement as pastor of Rock Hill Baptist Church; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Reverend Phillip E. Knight, Sr., as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for his distinguished service and best wishes for a joyful and fulfilling retirement.
