WHEREAS, Aldrin Elementary School in Reston was designated as a Common Sense School for the 2025–2026 school year by Common Sense Media; and
WHEREAS, the designation, which the school has maintained since 2022, is a testament to Aldrin Elementary School's continued commitment to technology-integrated learning and its dedication to delivering engaging lessons across all subject areas, including STEAM, science, social studies, math, and language arts; and
WHEREAS, Aldrin Elementary School has worked to seamlessly blend technology into daily learning through its curriculum, providing essential digital resources to parents through Staying Safe Online and Schoology, and promoting online safety and celebrating digital literacy during the school's Digital Citizenship Week; and
WHEREAS, Aldrin Elementary School's achievement is a commendable distinction for the school's teachers, administrators, students, and parents and for Fairfax County Public Schools as a whole; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Delegates hereby commend Aldrin Elementary School for its designation as a Common Sense School for the 2025–2026 school year; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Shane Wolfe, principal of Aldrin Elementary School, as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for the school's achievement.
