WHEREAS, for 50 years, Superior Paving Corporation headquartered in Gainesville has served communities across the Commonwealth and the surrounding region by providing high-quality asphalt paving services and infrastructure essential to safe and efficient transportation; and
WHEREAS, Superior Paving was founded in 1976 by Bart Mitchell, Bob Surface, and Ron White as a family-owned business dedicated to delivering superior products and services while fostering strong relationships with employees, customers, and communities; and
WHEREAS, through decades of dedication, craftsmanship, and commitment to excellence, Superior Paving has grown into a respected leader in the paving industry, operating multiple asphalt plants and employing hundreds of skilled professionals across the Commonwealth and neighboring states; and
WHEREAS, renowned for its large-scale paving projects for the Department of Transportation and area developers, Superior Paving has contributed significantly to the region's infrastructure by paving and maintaining major transportation routes and by partnering with agencies such as the Department of Transportation to support safe and reliable travel for the public; and
WHEREAS, Superior Paving promotes a workplace culture centered on the values of excellence, partnership, integrity, and commitment, striving to develop remarkable employees while delivering dependable service and quality construction projects; and
WHEREAS, Superior Paving has demonstrated a commitment to quality and safety across its workforce while growing employment opportunities as it serves public roadways, school districts, and partner companies from its 14 asphalt plants throughout the Commonwealth; and

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Superior Paving Corporation hereby be commended on the occasion of its 50th anniversary; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Superior Paving Corporation as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the business's longstanding commitment to quality manufacturing and safe transportation in the Commonwealth.
