Commending The Mount at Virginia Beach.
Agreed to by the House of Delegates, March 13, 2026
WHEREAS, The Mount at Virginia Beach, part of The Mount Global Fellowship of Churches, has greatly served the community by providing uplifting spiritual guidance, joyous occasions for worship and fellowship, and meaningful opportunities for charitable outreach; and
WHEREAS, The Mount at Virginia Beach is a dynamic Christian congregation that serves as a spiritual, social, and service hub for the surrounding community, offering vibrant weekly worship on its Virginia Beach campus, along with Bible study, youth and children's ministries, and small-group fellowship tailored to local families; and
WHEREAS, The Mount at Virginia Beach engages members and residents through outreach initiatives, charitable programs, and community events that address practical needs while sharing faith; and
WHEREAS, The Mount at Virginia Beach plays a visible role in nurturing leadership, strengthening families, and building connections among diverse neighborhoods in Virginia Beach; and
WHEREAS, by serving as a beacon of love, hope, and faith in the community, The Mount at Virginia Beach has made a profound and lasting impact on countless lives; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That The Mount at Virginia Beach hereby be commended for its legacy of service in pursuit of its mission; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to The Mount at Virginia Beach as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the church's contributions to Virginia Beach and the Commonwealth.
