WHEREAS, Ny-Asia Ashante Hill, a devoted sister and beloved member of the Norfolk community, died on February 12, 2026; and

WHEREAS, Ny-Asia Ashante Hill graduated with honors from Granby High School in Norfolk and attended Norfolk State University, majoring in social work; and

WHEREAS, Ny-Asia Ashante Hill was dedicated and hardworking in all of her endeavors, and she was humble and steadfast in the pursuit of her dreams; and

WHEREAS, Ny-Asia Ashante Hill's warm, honest, and loving demeanor endeared her to all who knew her, and she never hesitated to show up for family or friends in their time of need; and

WHEREAS, Ny-Asia Ashante Hill will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by her two older sisters, her two younger brothers, and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Delegates hereby note with great sadness the loss of Ny-Asia Ashante Hill, a treasured member of the Norfolk community whose light brightened countless lives; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Ny-Asia Ashante Hill as an expression of the House of Delegates' respect for her memory.
