Celebrating the life of Wanda Cole Lowe.
Agreed to by the House of Delegates, February 2, 2026
WHEREAS, Wanda Cole Lowe, a devoted wife and mother and an active member of the Richlands community, died on January 12, 2026; and
WHEREAS, a lifelong resident of Richlands, Wanda Lowe was born to the late Claude and Ava Cole in 1953; and
WHEREAS, Wanda Lowe pursued a career with the United States Postal Service and served her fellow residents in that capacity for 30 years; and
WHEREAS, Wanda Lowe was a dedicated volunteer who offered her leadership as chair of the Republican Party of Tazewell County; and
WHEREAS, Wanda Lowe was also a woman of deep and abiding faith who enjoyed fellowship and worship with the congregation of The River, a local church in Richlands; and
WHEREAS, Wanda Lowe will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her beloved husband, Danny; her children, Yancey and Amanda, and their families; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Delegates hereby note with great sadness the loss of Wanda Cole Lowe; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Wanda Cole Lowe as an expression of the House of Delegates' respect for her memory.
