Commending Dave and Linda Cryer.

WHEREAS, for more than 23 years, Dave and Linda Cryer have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to community leadership in Middlesex County through volunteer service and philanthropy; and
WHEREAS, Dave and Linda Cryer moved to Middlesex County in 2002 and have worked diligently to meet the needs of the area's most vulnerable citizens through visionary community programs; and
WHEREAS, in 2010, Dave and Linda Cryer constructed and generously donated the Cryer Center, which now serves as a centralized home for critical outreach programs; and
WHEREAS, the Cryer Center proudly houses Hands Across Middlesex, the Middlesex County Food Pantry, the Clothing Closet, and the community Yard Sale, all of which provide essential food, clothing, and household goods to residents in need; and
WHEREAS, Dave Cryer has provided outstanding leadership as chair of the Middlesex County Food Pantry and has given countless hours as a regular volunteer, including picking up and delivering surplus food and furniture to families throughout the county; and
WHEREAS, Dave Cryer is also an active member of the Kiwanis Club, further demonstrating his commitment to service, volunteerism, and community improvement; and
WHEREAS, together, Dave and Linda Cryer have exemplified selfless dedication to children and families by fostering more than 30 children, in addition to raising six children of their own, profoundly impacting the lives of countless young people; and
WHEREAS, the collective efforts of Dave and Linda Cryer have strengthened Middlesex County, enriched the lives of its residents, and set a remarkable example of generosity, compassion, and civic responsibility; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Dave and Linda Cryer hereby be commended for their achievements in service to the residents of Middlesex County; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Dave and Linda Cryer as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for their compassion, generosity, and incredible legacy of servant leadership.
