WHEREAS, for 40 years, the Reverend Steve Rebert, Sr., has faithfully preached the Gospel, provided pastoral care, and nurtured the spiritual growth of generations of church members and their families at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Winchester; and
WHEREAS, Steve Rebert began serving as senior pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church after graduating from Bob Jones University in South Carolina and has been a transformational leader in the Winchester community over the course of his pastoral career; and
WHEREAS, under Steve Rebert's steadfast leadership, Emmanuel Baptist Church has provided a strong foundation of worship, discipleship, community outreach, and ministerial service in Winchester and the surrounding region; and
WHEREAS, Steve Rebert has exemplified servant leadership, humility, perseverance, and Christian compassion, and his long tenure as pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church stands as a testament to his love for his calling, his commitment to the congregation, and his devotion to the broader community; and
WHEREAS, Steve Rebert's milestone of 40 years of ministry at a single congregation is a rare and distinguished achievement that speaks volumes about his dedication, adaptability, and the trust placed in him by the church membership; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the Reverend Steve Rebert, Sr., hereby be commended on the occasion of his 40th anniversary of faithful service to Emmanuel Baptist Church; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Reverend Steve Rebert, Sr., as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for his spiritual leadership and lasting impact on the Winchester community.
